Lupine Howl (volume I)

From Amazon:

A brand new paranormal horror series from the writer of Dark Season.

Jess is young and living on the streets of London. She has no friends and no family. But one night she stumbles upon a mysterious guy named Duncan, who eats human flesh and seems to be able to change into a wolf.

Meanwhile, a werewolf hunter named Frank Marshall is in the city, determined to find Duncan and kill him. As night falls and the body count rises, Frank persuades Jess that Duncan is a danger, and they set out to track him down and make sure he can never kill another human.

The Lupine Howl series begins with Jess running away from home and ending up homeless in London. Living on the streets, she encounters the mysterious Duncan, who seems to have a special ability to face down danger. There’s something strange about Duncan, though, and Jess can’t quite work out why he makes her feel nervous.

Jess is contacted by Frank Marshall, who has been sent to London to capture Duncan. Frank is a werewolf hunter, and an ancient agreement means that werewolves aren’t allowed in London. After learning about Duncan’s horrific past, Jess agrees to help capture him. But later she comes to realise that perhaps she has misjudged Duncan, and Frank isn’t really who he says he is.

Available from Amazon (US) and Amazon (UK) for the Kindle. Word count: approximately 20,000 words. Part of a series.
